I was looking for a really light tripod. Had already a Manfrotto carbon one but it was still on the heavy side + US airlines just kill you with weight and luggage. Since the Gitzo traveler tripod series was what I was looking for except for their retail price, I've tried this Amvona tripod on my recent trip to Utah. Very light, no bugs, fun to carry around on my shoulder or tied to my pack. Note: you really have to weight down with a bag or clothing in order to make it sturdier. In my case, I like doing long exposures, therefore tripod has to be at a standstill for my Canon 7D and 17-55mm F2,8. Worked also well with my Canon 100-400mmL lens.
