  • Great lens for the price

I got this lens which was 100 bucks off with a 100 dollar roots bag (essentially $200 cheaper than the nikon competitor). The picture quality is excellent and crisp. Even night shots with a tripod are clear. It can be used in a full frame camera as well. Focusing is fast on moving targets. The OS is excellent, i tried the non OS models and found that you need either a tripod or really still hands to get a clear shot without a tripod at high focal length, but this one stabilizes perfectly. The major downside is the motor is noisy. It is ok outdoors but if you're indoors you can here the focusing motor, why would sigma not add HSM motor when it is standard in everything else. Also the OS model doesn't have a macro feature which the non-OS model has, which means you need to stand a few feet back to focus on something for a close up. Overall the quality of photos for the price is unbeatable. If the motor is a big deal pay the extra 200 for the nikon competitor, but if you're on a budget like me go for this lens.
