    • Super Lens

    • February 10, 2010
    • By: Gary

This is a super lens that can do the job of multiple lenses ... I have an 18-70mm and an 70-300mm both of which I've put away since getting the 18-200mm with VR. The quality of the images are excellent and razor sharp. It is worth the extra money to get this ... slightly below $1,000 but hey look what it can do!

    • Great muti-purpose lens

I have sold most of my lenses since I bought this versatile lens with the exepton of a few prime lenses that I still use. Great range from wide angle, standard and zoom. All ranges are sharp with fast focus capabilities. I even do some simple macro work with it. The VR works wonders for those shots that I take while fully racked at less then ideal lighting situations. This lens is for keeps.

    • A Great Friend While Travelling

    • December 31, 2011

This lens is just the ultimate all purpose work horse. My lovely wife Colleen and I love to travel. I have found this lens to be perfect for walking about and taking photos while still being able to enjoy the experience. It's fast, smooth and quiet. Greatly reduces the need to carry around multiple lenses while taking in the sights. 5 out of 5 for me. By far, my favorite "EVERYDAY" lens. A true bargain at twice the price.

    • Excellent multi-purpose lens

I'm using this with my D7000 and I haven't found much it can't do well. I have it on the camera all the time. I carry around a 50mm f/1.8 prime still, but I find I rarely use it much any more, except for portraits and close-up shots.

    • Great lens

I have a D3000 and originally had the 18-55 as well as the 55-200 lenses. I purchased this lens for travelling as I would have the same range covered without having to carry two lenses and switch back and forth. The picture quality with this is excellent and the lens feels very well made.

    • Great Lens

    • August 18, 2011

I have had this lens for 3 years now and it is a wonderful all-purpose lens. I only need to take my camera and this one lens when travelling. It is the lens that is on my camera 90% of the time. Photos come out crisp and clear. The only thing that I don't like about this lens is that it sucks dust in between the glass (bellows effect) and, other than sending it in to be cleaned, I cannot get the dust out. Spots can be removed when editing on the computer.
